Exceedingly Abundantly More

God is big. He is the God of exceedingly, abundantly more. There are things God wants to do in your life, that are far above what you can imagine. God is limitless. Never limit God in your thinking. Nothing is impossible with Him. He is your creator, and your sustainer. God has predestined you for a great purpose in life. He made you for His glory, and if you will walk with Him, and believe, you will experience that glory for yourself. The Apostle Paul wrote,

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is the one who does exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. This means that whatever concept that you have of what is possible, or what God will do, is not big enough. God does exceedingly abundantly more than you expect. He provides more than you need. He blesses you so much you can’t contain it. He restores twice as much as you lost. God is better than you think. Happier than you think. More willing to move, and bless, and act.
Everything God does is exceedingly abundantly more. God created a universe so vast and so large that even the most brilliant scientist cannot fully comprehend it. God made beautiful galaxies that we may never be able to see. Was that necessary? No, but God doesn’t just do what’s necessary, He does exceedingly abundantly more. Jesus didn’t just die for a few people. He didn’t die for the best people, or the most accomplished. Jesus died for sinners; all of them. That is exceedingly abundantly more than you would expect. Jesus did not just pay for your past sins, but also your present and future sins. Exceedingly abundantly more. Jesus was not an exact payment, that was just enough to forgive your sins. Jesus was an overpayment for your sins.

“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

He paid so much extra with His blood that not only are you forgiven, but totally righteous in God’s sight, by faith. That is exceedingly abundantly more. Jesus didn’t just pay for sins, but he became sin for you, so that you might become righteous. He took all your bad on Himself and destroyed it. He kept all the law, for you, and earned you perfection before God. He gave that to you when you were born again.
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God doesn’t just fix you. He doesn’t just patch you up. God doesn’t carry you a little ways and drop you. God makes you totally new. When you give your life to Jesus and trust Him as Lord, you are born again. That’s not just a figure of speech. God literally makes you into a whole new creation. A new person, with a new nature, and filled with God’s Spirit.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God does exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever believe. Are you seeing His richness? Are you seeing God’s overwhelming, overflowing, bountiful nature of blessing. My prayer for you is that your faith is starting to rise. Believe God again. Trust Him again. Expect God to move at the level of exceedingly abundantly more.
Maybe you haven’t experienced that yet. Maybe you find this hard to believe. Let me tell you that the key is in Ephesians 3:20. If you need to experience God exceedingly abundantly more, then read that verse again. God does it according to His power at work in you. He works according to that power in your life. What you need is more of God’s power working in your life. The way is simple, but not easy. Total surrender and humility before God, is your pathway. God’s power works when we rest and fully surrender to Him, and His will. If it’s not God’s will, let it go. Rest in Him. Live for Him. Humility invites God’s power and presence. Pride and self-reliance causes resistance on God’s part. Check out what the Bible says.

“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:5-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Friend, humble yourself before God. Surrender fully to Him, and get in faith. Believe and expect His exceedingly abundantly more. Do this and live in God’s amazing miraculous life. All this flows from grace. Be refreshed by grace. Exceedingly, abundantly, refreshed.

If you don’t know Jesus, I want to give you the opportunity to trust Him for your salvation and receive His finished work by faith. If you want to make Jesus the Lord of your life simply prayer this in your heart, as a way to put your faith in Him. Say, “ Jesus, I make you the Lord of my life. I know I’m a sinner, but I believe. I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins, and I believe that You rose on the third day for my justification. I ask you to save me now. I receive you by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen”
